Pope Francis has challenged all of us to examine our role as children of God created for intimacy and harmony with ourselves, others and all of creation. As integral participants in God’s creation, we have a responsibility to care for all creation in the same manner that we feel called to care for ourselves and for those whom we love and cherish. Pope Francis calls us back to that basic human commission to carry out our mission as partners with God in caring for all created reality. How have we carried out that mission? What needs to be done to ensure that creation not only is viable and hospitable for us today but for all those who will come after us.

These sessions will explore Pope Francis’ assessment of how we are carrying out our responsibility to care for our common home, both for creation as well as for one another as members of God’s family. The theology that undergirds our shared responsibility for God’s creation as well as practical steps that help us carry out that responsibility better will be explored and examined.

The sessions will be facilitated by Biagio Mazza, Pastoral Associate at St. Sabina Parish in Belton MO. All denominations and faith traditions are most welcomed to join us in our mutual learning and discussions.
