New Lector and Eucharistic Minister Training

Have you ever thought you’d like to serve our parish but are not sure how? Consider the ministries of Lector or Eucharistic Minister.

Lectors are those individuals who proclaim scripture at Mass. As lectors prepare to read, they often find it leads them to a deeper prayer life as they read and reflect on the bible readings.

Eucharistic Ministers assist with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during communion at Mass. This is a great way to connect with other parishioners during liturgy and to deepen your spirituality through reflection on the presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

Both ministries take place during regular weekend Masses and do not require a lot of time outside of what you already commit by coming to Mass. Please prayerfully consider serving the parish by sharing your time during Mass to fill one of these ministry roles.

Training for both Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers will be held on June 20 and June 27 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Please plan to attend both evenings. We will meet in the Double Classroom in the Education Wing. Sign up here.
