Volunteer Opportunities for Youth

Harvesters Food Bank Harvesters is a local food bank that provides food to needy families around the KC area. Volunteers are needed to help sort food donations and pack weekend food bags for kids to help fight hunger in our community. We will be taking a group of five people on the third Thursday of each month from 6-8pm. This ministry is open to children ages 8 and up with adult supervision! Contact Kirstie Roberts to sign up at least two days prior. VOLUNTEER INFO

Project Uplift – Every 4th and 5th Monday 5-9:30pm. We meet at the Uplift warehouse and take food out to the homeless. This ministry is open to all parishioners age 14 and older. Contact Kirstie for more info, or to sign up. If you plan to sign up to help, please notify Kirstie at least two days prior.

Summer Youth Mission Trip –  Each summer our youth group goes on a mission trip to help rebuild where needed with Habitat for Humanity. We have been many times to New Orleans to rebuild after the Hurricane Katrina destruction as well as to Joplin after the tornado that tore the town apart. This is a great opportunity for youth to learn the importance of giving of themselves to help build the Kingdom of God by helping others. Dates to be announced.
