This year, 2020, Pope Francis has asked that we all recall and celebrate the fifth anniversary of his encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si, On Care for Our Common Home.  The week of May 16-23, 2020, has been designated as Laudato Si week worldwide.  A website, https://laudatosiweek.org/ has numerous resources, prayers and suggested activities that can be done to show care and concern for our environment.  In April of 2016, we produced a short video on the key principles of Laudato Si, coinciding it with Earth Day which occurs every year on April 22.  We decided to post it once again during this fifth anniversary year.  Please continue to familiarize yourself with this prophetic and powerful statement on why all people, most especially Christians, must take active and responsible action on behalf of the earth, our nourishing mother. Make time to view the DYK video on Laudato Si and reflect on how you are caring for the environment by your words and actions.  For your reading convenience, here is the link to the text of the encyclical,  http://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/encyclicals/documents/papa-francesco_20150524_enciclica-laudato-si.html
