[:en]In partnership with the Human Rights Office of the Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph, a City-Wide Prayer Vigil for Immigrant and Refugee Families will be held at St. John Francis Regis Parish, 8941 James A. Reed Road, on Saturday, October 7, beginning with 4:30 p.m. Mass. We will celebrate the diversity of our Catholic faith with music, Matachines (indigenous religious dancers), followed by an outdoor Living Rosary, then food and fellowship in the Archbishop O’Hara Commons.
We invite you to join us in solidarity with immigrant families by creating a safe place where mercy, hope, and justice may flourish. Our goals are to:
raise awareness of immigrant families,
create a stronger, richer community, and to
grow mercy and social justice.
Please contact Deacon Ken or Cathy Albers at (816) 313-9953 for questions or to volunteer in this ministry of mercy.
