The EmbRACE Justice group from St. Elizabeth’s has asked Alvin Brooks, a well known Kansas City police officer, member of Kansas City city government, and social/racial justice activist, to talk on the City Council’s vote to relocate police funds, and his new book Binding Us Together: A Civil Rights Activists Reflects on a Lifetime of Community and Public Service.
